Eltham College is delighted to have been named today as “Independent School of the Year 2024 (London)” in the Parent Power, Sunday Times Schools Guide 2024. This reflects the school’s increasing levels of academic success as well as co-curricular opportunity and pastoral care.
Congratulating the students and staff on this incredible achievement, Guy Sanderson, Headmaster, said: “I am absolutely thrilled that The Sunday Times has recognised the hard work and endeavour of our students, the dedication and care of our staff at Eltham College, and the support of our parents which enables us to deliver an outstanding education consistently year on year.
He added: “This recognition by ParentPower reflects our aim to be a leading co-educational school for boys and girls and one that serves our local community by providing consistent and sustained academic performance. This is underpinned by high quality pastoral care and co-curricular excellence. We strive constantly to help our young people to succeed at school and to lead inspired, happy and successful lives in their chosen fields.”
The ‘Parent Power’ rankings were based on academic performance over the past few years – but also taking account wider criteria regarding the academic, co-curricular and pastoral provision of the school. The full national and regional results will be formally published this Sunday 3rd December in The Sunday Times.
