Investment in facilities across the Eltham College Family of Schools

Students across the Eltham College Family of Schools returned to find many changes and improvements to the facilities they enjoy after a summer of extensive investment, building and refurbishment.

By far the most visible of these is the transformation that the completion of our new Science Centre has brought to the heart of the Senior School. Hidden behind hoardings for the past year, the extended building has now been revealed in its full, modern glory. Home to four new, bright and airy labs, the extension offers outstanding teaching and learning facilities to inspire our scientists of the future. Among many other improvements at the College are a newly refurbished computer room, a fine new Astro carpet, and the creation of a large seating and social space for students between the Science Centre and ABT.

At Eltham College Junior School, an extension was built across the summer around the outside of the Rosemary Morgan Hall, creating much needed room for storage and freeing up a huge amount of space in the hall itself. There has also been investment in a new tennis court. Meanwhile, at Blackheath Prep, Reception classes are enjoying transformation both inside and out: not only have the two classrooms been updated, but also the playground and canopy above it. Other improvements include the refurbishment of the school’s DT and IT classrooms.
