Wednesday evening saw the first major musical event of this academic year; our first Scholars’ Concert. The Music Scholarship Programme at Eltham College has been going from strength to strength in recent years, and the standard of performance on display was truly astonishing. A programme of real complexity, including works by Liszt, Brahms, Barber, Kabelevsky, Debussy and Bach was performed.
As well as some of our Sixth Form Music Scholars, a number of our new Year 7 Scholars made their Eltham College debuts. It was a wonderful evening of music, and a great start to the Music Department’s calendar.
