Under 14 String Quartet Wins First Prize in International Chamber Music Competition
We are delighted to share that one of our Chamber Ensembles, the Under 14 String Quartet, has been awarded First Prize in the Chamber Music category of the International String Competition Online.
The competition was adjudicated by a panel of professional musicians based in Warsaw and welcomed entries from across the world. The Chamber Music category had no age divisions, meaning our pupils were competing against much older and more experienced performers.
The ensemble performed the 1st movement of Beethoven’s String Quartet No 4, delivering a performance praised for its musical maturity, precision and ensemble skill.
This remarkable achievement reflects the strength of our Chamber Music programme and the dedication of these young musicians. Our students can be rightly proud that their performance was deemed the best of all entries across the globe.
