We are delighted to celebrate the success of our Under 11 Girls’ Chess Team, who finished in second place at the English Chess Federation National Girls’ Finals in Guildford this past weekend.
Representing Eltham College at the national event were Yueci (Year 6), Amelia (Year 5) and Louise (Year 3).
The competition brought together top school teams from across the country, with each round testing focus, strategy and resilience. Our team showed impressive composure throughout, winning 22 out of their 27 games and achieving a well-deserved second place finish on the national stage.
This result reflects the growing strength of chess at Eltham College Junior School and the dedication of our pupils to developing their skills.
