First Informal Concert of the Year
On 5 November, we hosted our first Informal Concert of the year in the welcoming, relaxed setting of the Music Department foyer. Designed as an approachable platform for our young musicians to perform in front of an audience, the event was a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their skills in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.
With 32 pupils signing up to perform, it was a lively and varied concert, and it was especially heartening to see so many Year 7 students making their Senior School solo debut. For many, this was their first time performing in front of a Senior School audience, and their enthusiasm and confidence made the evening all the more memorable.
Parents, teachers, and fellow students attended to show their support, and the concert’s informal atmosphere made it easy for everyone to enjoy the music and celebrate each performance. It was a fantastic start to the year for our young musicians, many of whom are eager to perform again in future concerts.
We’re excited to see what our students will achieve as the year progresses and look forward to more wonderful performances.
