Sixth Form students from Eltham College, Alex, Zak, and Ellie, made their mark at the English-Speaking Union’s MACE National Finals Day this week. This prestigious debating competition began with an initial entry of 380 schools, from which the best 12 teams from across England and Wales were selected to compete.
At the event, the Eltham College team impressed the judges with their excellent expression and delivery skills, as well as their ability to listen and respond to the arguments put forward by their opponents. Their critical thinking skills and ability to articulate their views clearly were evident throughout the competition.
The students from Eltham College should be proud of their outstanding performance at the English-Speaking Union’s MACE National Finals Day. Debating is a valuable skill that teaches young people to think critically, research effectively, and communicate their ideas clearly.
Congratulations once again to Alex, Zak, and Ellie for representing Eltham College so well at the English-Speaking Union’s MACE National Finals Day.
